Post Match Comment: Arsenal , once again showed they are not the team they were last season, they were not going to be by any means a push over.

They gave what they got and wasn’t it ironic that Gallas was the man to score the winner.

Arsenal started the first half with most of the possession , with  Chelsea having a couple of chances to score. but it wasn’t till the end of the half when Willam Gallas was in the right place at the right time to head home a cross from a Fabregas corner .

The game was completely different the second half, it became more open with counter attacks from both sides, but Arsenal remained resilient and still top of the Premiership.

Actual Score: 2-0

Post Match Comment:  Arsenal wasn’t their normal selves in this game and were fustrated by the Wigan defence.

Although they were missing Fabregas, Flamini and Hleb, they still managed to be patient in their running ,  their patients was rewarded late in the second half by a well excuted header from Captain Gallas,who started the move and finished it.

Once Arsenal scored, Wigan had only one option and that was to attack ,big mistake,  Arsenal counter attacked with Bendtner who  intercepted the ball and slipped it to the approaching Rosicky who shot pass the keeper to make it 2-0.

Only downfall was Theo who was promising in the 1st half was carried off after potato sack Hesky brought him down.

Reading          Arsenal

Prediction:  Arsenal to win 3-0

Actual Score: 3-1

Post Match Comment: Arsenal’s unbeaten run continues to 27 games with a 3-1 win at Reading and goals by Flamini , Adebayor, and Hleb.

Arsenal outplayed Reading by miles , credit where credits due Reading held Arsenal almost till half time ,when they were broken by a goal from Flamini .

Arsenal had most of the possession with numerous passing and links ,there were upto twenty to thirty passing moves at a time on many occasions.

Arsenal’s second came when  another quick interchange of passes, saw Adebayor speed away down the left to pass to the overlapping Rosicky who passed the ball to Fabregas just inside the box. Fabregas in turn laid it back to Adebayor, who calmly placed the ball low into the far right corner .

Coppell didn’t know how to take on Arsenal, Defending or attacking, as what they did was a risk to them.

Arsenal,s 3rd goal came from on form Hleb whose fast feet took on defence and wrong footed the goalkeeper to score.

Reading scored  a late concellation goal near the end but that was too late.

Post Match Comment: Looks like Arsenal were just happy to get the draw and to see us through to the next round.

Alot of the 1st team members were obviously resting, Fabregas, Hleb,Toure, Rosicky,Sagna , Flamini etc.

Credit where credit due Wenger knows what he is doing and obviously gave the rest of the squad some european action.

Nice job done.

Actual Score: Arsenal drew 2-2

Post Match Comment: An injury-time goal from Arsenal captain William Gallas made sure Arsenal share the points and keep our run and confidence going.

Arsenal and Man Utd  both on top form before this game were charged up for it. Arsenal played a five man midfield attack with one striker and Man Utd played four with two upfront.

It wasn,t until the last minute of the first half when Man Utd scored through , what you might say an own goal from Gallas.

The ball was crossed by Ronaldo for Rooney who just got a touch onto the unfortunate Gallas which was diverted into goal.

Within a few minutes into the second half,  Arsenal were back into the game  with an Adebayor effort stopped by Van Der Sar only as far as Fabregas to score the equaliser.

Man Utd second goal was through a very good move from Saha to Evra and then to  Ronaldo to tap in.

You should never write off Arsenal until the final whistle, with 2 minutes left of extra time ,there was a flourish of attempts which saw the Gallas attempt cross the line and remarkably only the hawkeyed linesman saw and gave it.

Gallas made amends. Phew!

Actual Score: Arsenal won 3-0

Post Match Comment: Arsenal are still fighting on all fronts thanks to Arsenal’s Eduardo Da Silva who scored two of the 3 goals and Denilson with the other. This was a completly different starting eleven from the game played on Sunday.

It took Arsenal  only 8 minutes to take control of the game with a cracking shot from Eduardo, from outside the penalty area to make it 1-0.

Sheffield never really got it together from there, they weren’t allowed to play by our young guns.

Walcott who started from the start of this game came close again when Diaby set him up to beat the goalkeeper but unfortunately shot wide.

Then came Arsenal’s second a Gibbs pass to Eduardo who took on Sheffields defence to beat Bennett easily.

Walcott almost made amends from his previous miss when he took on Armstrong for speed and went around the goalkeeper only to hit the post.

Arsenal’s third came from another Brazilian, Denilson whose 25 yard effort saw the ball slight deflect off Morgan to loop over Bennett.

Post Match Comment: As much as I would have liked to see Arsenal take 3pts , a draw was acceptable.

Bearing in mind we were playing away , it was Liverpool dropping points and us gaining.

Liverpool started the first ten minutes fast and didn’t let Arsenal settle, to which Arsenal paid the price in conceding a freekick to let inform Gerrard score. But from then on Arsenal took control in the game we all like to see passing the ball about and causing chance after chance , Hleb had a shot just wide, Reina blocked from Emmanuel Adebayor  and Rosicky had his attempt cleared off the line.

The second half was again very much the same with Liverpool starting the better and Arsenal continuing where they left off in the first half.

 Eboue broke free on the right and shot  low but his attempt cannoned off the foot of the post out to Fabregas who should have scored. Liverpool also had a couple more chances from Crouch and Gerrard. Crouch shot wide and Gerrard’s was cleared off the line from Kolo Toure.

Liverpool were tiring  all over when Hleb passed to Fabregas to toe poke the ball into the net.

Fabregas could have won the game when he picked up a rebound from a Carrager block to hit the post again.

What can I say, Brilliant, Terrific, Perfect, Top Draw, run out of words to decribe this performance. The perfect football and result came together last night ,with some special goals.

I won’t say there was anyone in particular to pick out as outstanding ,but the whole team was.

Goals from Fabregas, Walcott, Hleb and Bendtner saw Arsenal take control of their group and only possibly  needing 1 or 2 points more to qualify for the next round, with 3 games left.

This was the perfect Birthday present for Arsene Wenger, nothing but praise well done Arsenal.

Post Match Comment:

Bolton came to the Emirates Stadium to defend with eleven men and tried to be physical with Arsenal.

But Arsenal’s patients and persistance saw them win their eleventh game on the trot, with goals from Kolo Toure and Rosicky.

Toure’s goal came in the second half when Rosicky and Wilcott came on for Eboue and Da Silva to change the game.

It came from a freekick from outside the penalty area, which was driven low to beat the Bolton goalkeeper.

To me Bolton were very frustrating and boring ,and don’t deserve to stay up. Well done Arsenal.

The second came from a Theo Walcott crossed which was somehow flicked into goal by Rosicky.

Post Match Comment: Arsenal go to top spot thanks to a hard 3-2 win over Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal went 2-0 up with goals from Van Persie and Senderos , it should have been 3-0 , when  Hleb crossed the ball for Diaby who scored , but was disallowed for a debatable  offside.

Sunderland were not about to give up they pulled one back before half time fthrough Ross Wallace .

The equaliser came four minutes into the second half by Jones, not many teams have scored two goals against Arsenal so far this season, but Arsenal showed true grit with chances from Wallcott and Kolo Toure who smash the Sunderland post, Arsenal were finally rewarded when Wallcott turned the defence for a neat pass to Van Persie to score Arsenal’s winner.
