Post Match Comment: Who cares if  I only got one prediction right, I’d  rather get the wins right and thats all that matters. Arsenal again showed true sprit and patients in last nights game and earned themselves another 3pts.

Hleb who was doubtful to play was a real menace in Bucurest’s defence, causing lots of problems.

Arsenal in whole was the better side and deserved the win, there where a couple of chances for the home team , but Arsenal dealt with them comfortably. One which stood out was when Almunia ran out to clear , only to get lobbed ,with Kolo Toure to clear with his head.

The rest was Arsenal penertrating defences only to be saved by their keeper.

Eventually the goal came when Adebuyor took on the defence crossed the ball low for Robin Van Persie to slot home for Arsenal’s nineth win in a row.

Actual Score: Arsenal win 1-0

Post Match Comment:  Arsenal finally wiped the smiles off West Ham’s faces by taking all 3pts at Upton Park.

It wasn’t the best I’ve seen Arsenal play, but with these sort of games, grinding a result is good enough.

Robin Van Persie headed home at the far post  from an Alexander Hleb cross after 13 minutes.

Hleb has only just come back from an injury when a tackle from Mark Noble saw him being carried off.

As the game went on there was some hard tackles going on both sides with a few more injuries, another concern was Adebayor who went off about 10 minutes from the end.

But according to Arsene Wenger he has only bruising to his muscles, and could possibly be ok for our next game in the Champions league, where as Hleb won’t be playing.

Arsenal remain on top.

Post Match Comment:

One day I’ll get my prediction right, but who cares, as long as we win .

It only took Arsenal nine minutes to start cracking the whip with a long range goal by Diaby.

Diaby took on two challenges to take a shot from the edge of the penalty area into the top of the net.

Adebayor then made it two nil when a pass from Fabregas saw Adebayor break through Derby’s defence and take on the goalkeeper to slot home his first and Arsenal’s second.

The score remained 2-0 at half time.

Derby’s luck wasn’t any better in the second half , when Arsenal were rewarded a penalty when Eduardo was pulled back by Oakley, Adebayor made it 3-0 from the spot.

Fabregas who had played well all throughout was finally rewarded with a goal ,which he took from 20 yards out.

Adebayor got his hatrick when he controlled the ball onto his chest from a long range pass to side foot into the net.

It could have been as many again with the chances Arsenal had.

Post Match Comment:

Arsenal take the first 3pts to get them up and running, and did they do it comfortably.

Arsenal showed Sevilla what to expect in this championship , they passed the ball nicely and when they lost it they were soon winning it back. The first goal came in the 27th minute when Fabregas took a long range shot only to be deflect into the net, by Julien Escude . Robin Van Persie doubled the score when Bacary Sagna clipped the ball with his head from a Fabregas freekick for Robin to tap one in.

From then on Arsenal relaxed and waited to counter attack and they were eventually rewarded with an Eduardo De Silva goal, who came on for Adebayor as sub in injury time.

Good team performance from everyone,well done Arsenal.

Actual Score:  Arsenal beat the Scum 3-1        

Post Match Comment:

This was a game and a half , Arsenal went behind to a Gareth Bale goal which came directly from a free kick conceded by Gilberto who obviously looked jet lagged.

This did not drop any heads, Arsenal still pushed on and had a few chances , but was stopped by on form,  Scum goalkeeper Richardson.

Arsenal remained 1-0 down  at half time.

Second half saw Arsenal looking dangerous , but saying that Berbatov broke through and side stepped Al munia just to be tackled by the brilliant Toure (last man).

Arsenal continued and eventually a goal came from a free kick taken by top man Fabregas , for Adebayor to score  with a strong header.  Arsenal pushed and pushed again and finally were rewarded by a brilliant strike from our top scorer Fabregas.

Arsenal were killing time now when Adebayor flicked the ball up to volley home the third goal to make it 3-1 with Jol holding his head.

The Scum were getting desprate now, bringing Derren Bent to be a third striker, and within minutes, he had a chance to score, but  he fluffed it good and proper. 

Arsenal go top of the league.

Post Match Comment: Again Arsenal started fairly well when Van Persie was brought down in the penalty area by James,

Adebayor took a well placed penalty sending David James the wrong way 1-0 Arsenal,

From there on Arsenal raised their game , Arsenal got teir 2nd goal from a corner, when Gilberto Silva whipped a header towards goal and was blocked by Fabregas who turned on the ball to score Arsenal’s second just before half time.

Second half Portsmouth stepped up their game with a ball through to Kanu who was brought down outside the penalty area by Senderos ,no option for the ref but to send him off with a red card. Free kick was taken by Utaka and was saved by Almunia.

Minutes later a free kick was awarded to Arsenal whose  quick thinking saw Fabregas take a short tap to Rosicky to drive home Arsenal’s third.

Seconds later Kanu scored a freaky goal that even he didn’t know where it ended.

But credit to Arsenal even with ten men for almost half a game where in control.

Arsenal through to group stage

It was over for Sparta in the first 7 minutes of the game, when Van Persie took the ball on the right layed it off to Wallcot who crossed it to the oncoming Rosicky Bang 1-0.

Arsenal from then never came out of second gear, it was like a training match with plenty of passing.

It was’nt until the second half when Fabregas  and Adebuyor came on , when Arsenal you could say went up half a gear up  and scored the second from Fabregas, by then Sparta were feeling tired .

A few minutes later again a cross from Denilson was placed in the net by Eduardo who scores his first

competitive goal of the season.

Man City Came to Arsenal and gave them a battle, but went away with nothing to show for it.

It took at least 30 minutes until Arsenal got into their game ,they tried the long ball over the top for Adebuyor to get hold of but it he didn’t really get into his stride, being his first game back.

It wasn’t until the second half when Hleb broke into the penalty area and was brought down for a Penalty.Van Persie took it and it was saved by the young Goalkeeper Schmeichel who guessed the right way by saving with his legs.

Arsenal never gave up and still piled the pressure, it wasn’t until the 80th minute when Hleb fed fabregas with a throughball for him to shoot high into the corner of the net.

Keep it up Arsenal!

Post Match Comment

Again we lose 3pts because of  Lehmann ,again he fumbles.

Dont know wether to be angry or feel sorry for him,but I do know that Arsenal won’t be bullied.

This was a fast game with plenty of bookings,I would’nt say it was flowing but it was like an old fashioned physical game.Sagna was very impressive and solid.

A goal from Van Persie saw us take the lead in the first half  and an equaliser from Dunn in the second saw Blackburn share the points.

My post match comment:

This match wasn’t the flowing football we are all used to, but the job was done.

There where a few hard tackles out there and a few yellow cards.

Second half,  we started to show a bit more class with an interception from Clichy who took on a couple of prague’s players to lay the ball off to Fabregas who sloted home the first goal.

Second goal came from a Sagna  run on the left wing to cross the ball for Hleb to score his second goal in a week.

Nice one Arsenal.
